I am a licensed Psychologist in the State of New York (license # 014-146).  My training is in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), a symptom focused approach.  This form of therapy has an extensive research base demonstrating its effectiveness.  CBT fits me well because I appreciate results in therapy.  My experience and specialties include Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Anxiety, and Depression.   I have worked with people of all ages ranging from 6 to 103.  As director of the graduate school psychology program at Mercy College I train future school psychologists.  This helps keep me current in advances in effective treatment.  My personal therapeutic style is of an active problem solver.  Your participation in therapy is essential for success in removing barriers to functioning well socially, at work, at home, or in school.  This motivation is the key to reaching your personal goals.
